REIMAGINING INDUSTRY TO SUPPORT EQUALITY

RISE is a collaborative program conducted in partnership with Better Work, P.A.C.E, BSR Her, and CARE. Its primary goal is to empower women in the workplace and promote gender equality. The RISE program offers a wide range of courses, including cybersecurity, financial literacy education, and training on preventing gender-based violence and harassment..

'YES I CAN' Education Program

'YES I CAN' Education Program

Since 2012, the factory has implemented the “YES I CAN” program to support employees who have not completed their education. This program includes primary and secondary education, as well as training in languages, computer skills, welding, and other essential life skills. Managed by the Ministry of Education, the program ensures that teachers receive regular training from the ministry. As of 2023, a total of 617 employees have graduated from this program.

By 2022, factory employees had donated a total of 2,718 liters of blood to the Nicaraguan Red Cross. Although donations were temporarily suspended in 2021 due to the pandemic, the initiative resumed once conditions improved.

A helping hand for families and youth

PERSONAL ADVANCEMENT & CAREER ENHANCEMENT

The P.A.C.E program is an educational initiative designed for women in the apparel industry. Its goal is to train female employees to achieve higher positions within the industry and improve their quality of life. One of Shinsung's factories, ISTMO, launched this program in July 2023.

ESPONSIBLE SOURCING ADVISORY PROGRAM

RSAP is Target’s Worker Empowerment Program aimed at fostering a more employee-friendly work environment. The program focuses on improving health and safety measures and strengthening grievance procedures. One of Shinsung’s factories in Guatemala, CSA, has been participating in this program since 2021 and is currently assessing its applicability to OK Modas.
